Andrea Martone

Andrea Martone has been a public relations and communications executive for 17 years, working both independently and with top New York City-based agencies (Howard Rubenstein Assoc., and CooperKatz & Company). She has also served as the editor-in-chief of a Long Island weekly newspaper chain (The Port Washington News), a high school teacher and a regional magazine editor.

Most recently, she worked with a client, iON Television Network (formerly PAX Television Network), working as one of several producers and on-air hosts for a series of public affair shows "i On" series, which aired in 62 markets across the country. The show highlights issues and concerns to the community and covers topics such as environmental issues, health care, politics, business and more.

Andrea is an expert in consumer and business-to-business branding, as well as in executing local and national media events. PR and branding efforts include diverse clients in the B-B and consumer health care arena, consumer products and services, the energy industry and not for profit organizations.

Her knowledge of the media particularly national broadcast and print media and top business print media is vast. A recent coup was securing feature coverage (six pages) in Fortune Magazine and another story in BusinessWeek for a small not-for-profit organization that mentors minorities to be corporate leaders.

On the consumer media side, she extensively toured U.S. cities with top Fortune 500 clients as their on site media director, including clients such as Volvo Cars of North America, Homepoint.com, Triomega™, Vespa scooters (Piaget), The Center for National & Exploited Children, The Association of National Advertisers, Virgin Mobile USA, and others.

She is a high-energy creative individual who believes in living life to the fullest both in her professional and personal lives. To her clients, she is considered a valuable team player who believes a team effort is critical to the quality of life and the success of business for all organizations and businesses.

As a veteran media specialist, she has successful relationships with national, international and local media over the course of her 17-year career in part because she believes in treating the media as a client (and not just a source to get quick media hits!). In doing so, She nurtures trust and respect with the media. Inevitably, it benefits her clients.

Ms. Martone holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in education from New York Institute of Technology. She lives and works in New York.
